New Kitchen Renovations in La Nucia

Published 27 July 2026 · Dragon Reforms

A kitchen renovation is more than new doors on old units. In a La Nucía villa it usually means rethinking layout, services and surfaces together so the room works properly.

La Nucía has many villas and urbanisation homes where the kitchen was fitted long ago and has simply been patched since. Cramped runs, tired worktops and awkward appliance positions are the usual complaints.

Here is what a kitchen renovation normally covers, in the order things happen, so you can decide what you want before anyone comes to measure. Dragon Reforms has worked across the north Costa Blanca since 1999, and the quotation is free.

Layout

Start With How You Use the Room

The best kitchens begin with a plan of how you cook, store and move about. The position of the sink, hob and fridge matters more than the colour of the doors. Sketching the plan together before anything is ordered saves expensive changes later.

In many La Nucía houses the kitchen is closed off from the living area. Opening it up, or adding a breakfast bar, changes how the whole ground floor feels. If a wall is involved, we check whether it is structural first. A room that opens onto the dining area also suits the way many families here entertain.

Structural changes may need a licence from the town hall; we advise at survey.

Units and surfaces

Units, Worktops and Tiling

Units come in many finishes, from gloss to timber effect to real wood. Whatever you choose, good carcasses, sound hinges and accurate fitting are what make a kitchen last. We also look at storage, because deep drawers and tall pull-outs often work harder than a wall of cupboards.

Worktops take the most wear, so it is worth choosing a material that suits how you cook. Tiling behind the hob and sink protects the walls, and a floor that copes with spills and heat is a sensible investment. Splashbacks, in particular, are worth getting right, since they are the part everyone sees.

We can fit your chosen units or help you decide on a style, and we show you the options before ordering. Samples are far more useful than catalogue photographs.

Services

Plumbing and Electrics Done Properly

A new layout nearly always means moving water supply, waste and sockets. Doing this before units go in is far easier than altering things afterwards, and it is where a coordinated team earns its keep. Ceiling and wall chasing is done carefully and made good before tiling begins.

We plan socket positions for the appliances you actually own, with the oven, hob, extractor, dishwasher and fridge in mind. Waste and supply pipes are routed to suit the new sink position. Extra sockets at worktop height are easy to add at this stage and annoying to add later.

Because plumbing, electrics, plastering and tiling are all arranged by one firm, the stages follow one another without gaps. It also means one person to ask when you have a question.

Appliances and finishing

Appliances, Finishing and Handover

Built-in ovens, hobs and extractors need accurate cut-outs and proper connections. We fit appliances you supply or help you choose ones that suit the space. Dishwashers and washing machines also need the right water and waste connections, which we sort out together with the plumbing.

Finishing includes painting, sealing joints and adjusting doors and drawers so everything closes cleanly. We check the work with you before we leave. Handles, plinths and cornices are small details that give a kitchen its finished look.

A smaller kitchen can be done in days; a full renovation takes longer, and we give a programme in the quotation. Our work is guaranteed, and images on this site are for illustration only.

Questions

New Kitchen Renovations in La Nucia — Common Questions

Do you supply the units?

We can fit units you have chosen or help you select a style, and we agree the details in the quotation.

Will the kitchen be out of action?

For a while, yes. We plan the work to keep that period as short as sensible and explain it in the programme.
