Extensions & New Builds Villajoyosa
Villajoyosa is a working Spanish town first and a resort second, and its housing shows it. Adding space might mean a townhouse in an old street, a seafront flat, or a villa on an inland urbanisation.
The colourful houses along the seafront are what visitors photograph, but the town extends well beyond them. Behind the front are older streets of townhouses, newer apartment blocks near the sea, and villas on urbanisations further inland.
Because people live here all year, extensions tend to be about practical family needs: a bedroom for a child, a workroom, space for an older relative. Our aim is to meet those needs without causing trouble for the street.
In the older parts of town, how a building looks from the street matters, and we ask the town hall's likely view early. Inland, the questions resemble those on any urbanisation, about plot, boundaries and structure.
