Microcement Finestrat
Finestrat villas tend to sit on steep slopes, with floors on several levels and terraces facing open sky. That raises a useful question about microcement: which surfaces suit it indoors, and which outdoors need a different answer.
Under the bulk of Puig Campana, hillside plots force houses into stepped layouts. You may enter at one level, drop to bedrooms below and climb to a roof terrace, with flights of stairs joining everything. Seamless surfaces help such houses look unified.
Stairs and landings are therefore a main feature. Microcement can run from hall to stairs to upper floor, removing the patchwork of different tiles that often builds up when a home has been altered several times, and it gives a single tone throughout.
Outdoors is where honesty is needed. Sun, rain and temperature swings are harder on a thin coating than any bathroom, and not every product or surface suits a terrace. We advise case by case and will tell you when a different finish is the sensible choice.
