Benissa covers an old town of tall stone-built houses, countryside fincas and villas along the coast. It is one of the more varied places in the area for plaster and paint.
Three kinds of property come up repeatedly here. Old town houses have thick walls and often several floors. Fincas have stone walls, big rooms and outbuildings. Coastal villas are more recent, with modern render facing sea air.
The right approach for one can be wrong for another. A finish that works on a villa may damage a stone farmhouse, and the reverse is true too. That is why we start by identifying what the building is.

Fincas
Fincas tend to have large rooms, high ceilings and walls that have moved a little over time. A key early question is how much to straighten. Perfectly flat walls can look out of place in a rural house, while rough patches may be something you are happy to live with or something you want gone.
Stone walls generally benefit from breathable plaster and paint. We would rather work with the wall than seal it. Outbuildings that are being converted to living space are treated in the same way, with extra attention to damp.
Large floor areas and long walls make the logistics matter: materials, access and sequence. A clear plan up front keeps the job efficient.
Old town
Old-town houses often rise over several floors with staircases, small rooms and uneven ceilings. We repair and plaster in stages, so you can keep using parts of the house if you are living in it.
Where façades face the street, the appearance matters as much as the protection. We repair render and repaint in colours that suit the setting, and we are careful with details such as door surrounds and window reveals.
Lanes and limited access can complicate deliveries. We plan these in advance.
Coast
Villas closer to the sea combine strong sun with salty air. Their render and paint need regular attention, and the best time to repaint is before large patches have failed.
We repair cracks and loose areas, prepare the walls and apply a suitable exterior system. Interior work on these villas often involves skimming and repainting after years of holiday use.
If you split your time between Benissa and elsewhere, a clear written scope and agreed updates let the work go ahead while you are away.
How it works
A visit, or photographs if that is more practical, helps us understand the building and its walls. The written quotation describes the method for each area, and the quotation is free.
We then organise the work to suit your plans, tidy as we go and leave the property clean. The work is guaranteed, with the scope set out in the quotation.

Yes. We use breathable materials suited to stone and check for damp first, so the new plaster lasts.
Often, yes. We stage the work room by room and protect the areas you are still using.
Yes, including render repairs, exterior repainting and interior finishing.
Only as far as you like. We can leave some character in the surface or produce a smoother result, and we will discuss which suits the house.
