Benidorm is a city of apartments, and reforming one means working inside a tall block with a lift, a busy community and neighbours close by.
Most of Benidorm’s housing is apartments, from towers on the seafront to older blocks in the streets behind and flats in the old town. Many were built during the decades of the tourism boom, so it is common to find compact layouts, dated kitchens and original bathrooms.

Small flats
Studios and one-bedroom flats are common in Benidorm, and the usual reform goal is to make them feel larger. Joining a small kitchen to the living area, replacing a bath with a shower and adding built-in storage can change how a compact flat lives.
We look first at what the walls are. Partitions that can come out give you space, while structural elements and shared service ducts stay where they are, and we design around them.
The finish should suit the use. A flat let to holidaymakers needs surfaces that wipe clean and last, while a permanent home can justify more detailed joinery.
The building
In a tall block, logistics decide the programme. Materials, appliances, tiles and rubble all share the lift with residents, so we agree timings and protect the lift and the common areas before work begins.
Most communities have statutes and working hours, and a large block usually has an administrator to speak to. We recommend telling them early, and we plan noisy tasks to fit the hours set.
Where the job touches shared elements, such as risers, terrace fronts or an outdoor air-conditioning unit, it is worth confirming what the community permits before ordering anything.
Services
In older flats the electrical installation may have too few circuits for modern use, and the pipes behind the tiles may be due for replacement. A reform is the right time to deal with both while the surfaces are open.
Summers here are hot, and a flat in a high-rise often takes the sun for hours. Air conditioning is planned with the layout, with pipe runs hidden and the outdoor unit placed with the building’s rules in mind. We supply leading brands.
Because we also do the plastering, tiling and painting, the services are closed up and finished in one visit rather than passed between firms.

During the work we manage the trades, protect the common areas and send photos and updates by phone. The result is guaranteed, and we speak English and Spanish with your administrator and suppliers.
