Benidorm is a town of apartment blocks, and the windows and doors in them face more pressure than most: full sun, sea wind, traffic and nightlife below, and flats that often stand empty between visits.
Most of the work we are asked about in Benidorm is inside a flat rather than on a house. That changes the job. The openings are usually standard in size, the access is by lift and corridor, and the building has a community of owners with its own expectations about what can change on a facade or balcony.
Owners tend to want the same few things: a quieter bedroom, a living room that does not overheat, a balcony they can use more of the year, and a front door they trust when they fly home. Each of those is a windows and doors question, and each has a sensible answer.

High-rise living
In a tower block, the window is the main barrier between you and everything outside: wind at height, sun on the facade, noise from the street and the bars. A frame that is slightly out of square or poorly sealed will whistle, let in dust and leak when the weather turns.
Replacing windows in an apartment is usually quick and tidy when it is planned properly. We measure each opening, order frames to suit and fit them with the least disruption to neighbours. Because many flats here are second homes, we can work around your visits and leave the apartment ready to use.
Colour and style often have to stay consistent with the rest of the building, so it is worth checking with your community before ordering. We can tell you what is usually involved so you ask the right questions.
Quieter, cooler rooms
Benidorm does not go quiet. Bedrooms facing the street or a busy junction benefit most from double glazing and a good seal, and from keeping windows closed and shutters down at night. We do not make promises about specific noise reductions, but proper glazing makes a visible difference to how a room feels.
Heat is the other concern. A flat facing the afternoon sun can become uncomfortable, and large glass doors to the balcony are the main cause. Glass choice, blinds and well-fitted persianas all help, and we will suggest a combination that suits how you use the room.
If you let the apartment, guests tend to notice a quiet, cool bedroom more than almost anything else, so this is often money well spent.
Balconies and security
Many Benidorm owners enclose a balcony with glazing to create a sunroom, a dining space or a spot for plants out of the wind. It needs to be planned with the community and fitted so that it opens, ventilates and can be cleaned safely.
Sliding balcony doors are the usual choice because they save space. The track, rollers and seals decide whether they glide quietly or stick, and replacing worn gear often transforms a door that has become hard work.
For an apartment left empty for weeks, the entrance door matters. A solid door with multi-point locking and a firmly fixed frame is a sensible upgrade, and we can advise on what is worth doing.
How it works
We start with a visit, or photos and measurements if you are abroad, and agree what you want to change. You receive a written quotation, which is free, covering the products, the fitting and the making good. Once you accept, we order and book a date that suits you and the building.
On the day we fit, seal and test every opening, tidy up and take away the old frames. The work is guaranteed, with the scope set out in the quotation, and Dragon Reforms is open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 8pm if you have questions afterwards.
