Windows & Doors Alfaz del Pi & Albir
Alfaz del Pi and Albir run from the seafront up into the hills, with apartments by the water and villas on the slopes. Many were built in the same few decades, so many are due for new windows and doors at the same time.
A large share of the housing here dates from when the area first grew as a place for foreign owners and retirees. Those homes were built well, but their original frames, seals and shutters have now had a long working life.
The result is a steady stream of similar problems: sliding doors that no longer glide, windows that leak around the edges, glass that has misted, and shutters that stick. Most can be solved, but it helps to decide early whether to repair or replace.
Dragon Reforms has served this stretch of the coast since 1999. The quotation is free, we do the fitting, and the work is guaranteed.
Repair or replace
Deciding Whether to Repair or Replace Your Frames
If the frame is sound and only the glass, seal or hardware has failed, repair is usually the right answer. If the frame is corroded, warped or impossible to seal, repair only delays the problem.
We look at the frame, not just the symptom. Sometimes a new pane is all that is needed, and sometimes we explain why replacing the whole unit is better value.
For a house with many windows, it is common to replace the worst first and plan the rest over time.
By the seafront
Apartment Windows and Balcony Doors in Albir
Apartments near the Albir seafront deal with sea air, sun and passing traffic. Good seals, tidy track drainage and sensible hardware choices make the biggest difference.
Balcony doors take the most use. Fitting a new door or refreshing the rollers and seals on an existing one usually restores a door that has become stiff.
For apartment work, we plan the fitting around the building rules and the neighbours, and leave the flat clean.
On the slopes
Villas in Alfaz del Pi: Doors, Terraces and Shutters
Villas in the hills often have a covered terrace, a porch or a side door that is used more than the front one. These secondary openings are easy to overlook but should be as secure as the main door.
Glazing a porch or part of a terrace is a popular project, giving a sheltered space for most of the year.
We can fit new shutters at the same time or repair the existing ones, so that the house has a consistent, working set.

Questions
Windows & Doors Alfaz del Pi & Albir — Common Questions
Can misted double glazing be fixed in Albir?
The sealed glass unit is normally replaced rather than repaired. If the frame is sound, this is often cheaper than replacing the whole window.

Yes, including the seafront, the apartments and the hillside villas.
Can you glaze a porch or covered terrace?
Usually, yes. We advise on ventilation, access and any rules that apply to your property.

It depends on the number and size of the openings. We give an expected time in the quotation.
