Alfaz del Pi and Albir offer a spread of homes, from apartments near the Albir seafront to villas up in the hills, so bathroom projects here vary a lot in scale.
Close to the seafront in Albir, apartments and smaller homes are common, many used as second homes or let to visitors. Up in the hills around Alfaz del Pi, villas are generally larger, with more than one bathroom and plenty of room for a rethink. The same trade skills apply, but the way we plan and phase the work is different.
Because the area has long attracted international buyers, a lot of properties have had previous owners with their own tastes, which means bathrooms from several eras. A renovation is often a chance to bring the room into line with how the owner actually lives, whether that means a larger shower, more storage or simply a clean, bright finish.

Villas
Villas around Alfaz del Pi often have bathrooms with enough floor area to try something different. A freestanding bath by a window, a separate shower and a long vanity with storage turn a functional room into a comfortable one.
Natural light is a strength of homes in the hills, and a bathroom can take advantage of it. Light-coloured walls and surfaces, with warm accents in wood or brass, bounce daylight around and keep the room feeling open.
Fitting a freestanding bath needs forethought about the floor, the waste and the position of the taps. We settle those details during design, so there is no surprise when the bath arrives.
Apartments
For apartments within reach of the Albir seafront, a bathroom must work hard with limited space. We often recommend a walk-in shower, a wall-hung unit and a mirror with built-in light, which together free up the floor and make the room easy to clean.
If the flat is let to visitors, durability counts. Solid fittings, wipe-clean surfaces and uncomplicated controls cut down on callouts. We aim for a bathroom that looks good in photographs and remains easy to maintain.
Work in a communal building requires thought about noise, access and shared services. We plan around those from the start.
Whole property
A bathroom renovation often reveals other work that would be sensible to do at the same time, such as repainting adjoining rooms, replacing a door, fitting air conditioning or dealing with a damp wall. Since we cover these trades, they can be folded into one programme.
Doing so means one point of contact, one schedule and one standard of finish. It also avoids a freshly completed bathroom being disturbed by later work.

How it works
We visit the property, measure the room and discuss what you would like. A written quotation follows, and the quotation is free. Once agreed, we confirm dates and order the materials.
The work follows a clear order: strip-out, plumbing and electrics, waterproofing, tiling, installation, plastering and painting. We send updates by phone and photographs, and the work is guaranteed within the scope of the quotation.
