Few places on this coast hold such different homes so close together. Apartments along and behind the Albir seafront sit near villas that climb into the hills, and the shower you want in one is quite unlike the other.
Flats usually need clever use of limited space, a discreet drain and a design that suits shared walls and neighbours. Villas offer room for a proper wet room, a second bathroom for guests, and the chance to treat the whole floor as a shower.

Seafront flats
A flat close to the sea often has a modest bathroom, and many owners find a bath rarely gets used. Replacing it with a walk-in shower leaves room for a larger vanity, a laundry basket or simply a floor that feels less crowded.
We check the building before anything else. Waste routes, the floor above a neighbour's ceiling, and community rules all shape the plan. We suggest you tell the building's administrator when work will start, as the block may have set times for noisy jobs.
Seaside living leaves its mark on fittings, so we choose materials with salt and humidity in mind and make sure the room dries out after use. A decent extractor is part of the plan, not something we leave for you to sort out.
Hill villas
Villas on the hills usually have more than one bathroom, and each can have a different purpose. A principal suite may suit a full wet room with a linear drain. A guest bathroom may only need a neat walk-in shower and a wall-hung toilet.
Because the plots are often sloping, pipes can run a long way to the main drain. We trace the route at the survey and design the base so water drains away freely. Long runs benefit from sensible pipe sizes and gentle, steady falls.
The result is a shower that feels part of the house instead of an afterthought. We pay attention to how it sits beside the bedroom, how natural light reaches it, and how the floor tile carries on from the room outside.
Everyone
Level-access showers are popular here with owners who plan to stay for years, and with families who host older relatives. A walk-in design removes the step over a bath wall and makes the room safer for everybody.
If more support is wanted, we can add a fold-down seat or a grab rail, placed on solid backing and set at a height that suits the user. These can be fitted discreetly so the bathroom does not look clinical.

How it works
Our visit covers measuring the room, finding the waste pipe and looking closely at the floor. Your plans are discussed openly, then a written quotation arrives at no cost, covering the base, the sealing and any changes to the plumbing.
On site the order is strip-out, base, sealing, tiling and glass, and you receive photographs after each. To finish, we test the drain, inspect every seal and go through the completed shower alongside you.

Yes. We work in the seafront flats around Albir and in the villas on the hills of both areas. Each type of home has different needs, so we adjust the design and the way we work after the survey.
Usually. The waste pipe position and the floor decide how level the entrance can be. The survey settles it, and we tell you honestly whether a flush entry or a low edge is the better choice.
Often, if there is a concrete floor and room for a gentle slope. We assess the structure first. In some bedrooms a defined shower zone behind one glass pane is simpler and gives much the same benefit.
Yes. We plan them before the walls are sealed and tiled so they have solid backing. Positions are set to suit the person using them, and the finish can be chosen to blend with the rest of the room.
