Villas · Apartments · Albir seafront · Wardrobes · Decking
Alfaz del Pi and Albir offer a bit of everything, from apartments by the Albir seafront to villas in the hills, so carpentry here ranges from compact storage to full outdoor builds.
Alfaz del Pi and Albir are close neighbours, but the homes differ. Down by the seafront at Albir, apartments and townhouses are mostly holiday and retirement homes. Higher up, in the hills behind, villas with gardens and pools take over. Between them is a wide range of property types and ages.
That variety means no two carpentry quotations look quite alike. One owner wants a pair of wardrobes for a two-bed flat. Another is looking at a deck around a pool. A third needs a whole run of kitchen cabinetry reworked after a partial renovation. We approach each from the building and the owner’s needs, rather than from a fixed package.
Dragon Reforms has worked on the north Costa Blanca since 1999. We offer a free quotation and guarantee our work, and we are used to dealing with owners who live elsewhere for part of the year.
Seafront flats
Apartments near the Albir seafront are often used for short stays by the owner, family or guests. They need storage that is simple, robust and easy to keep tidy. Fitted wardrobes, shelves and cupboards in the hall give a flat a more organised feel and free floor space.
We keep the interior flexible. Adjustable shelves, a mix of hanging and drawer space, and a few deeper compartments for cases and spare bedding suit most uses. If you rent the flat out, hard-wearing finishes and durable hinges are worth the small additional cost.
Doors are another upgrade that pays off. We replace tired hollow doors with better-built ones and re-hang those that can be saved, so the flat feels cared for.
Villa interiors
Villas in the hills above Albir and around Alfaz del Pi tend to be larger and often have a mix of original and later features. Kitchens may have been updated more than once, and it is common to find that the cabinets no longer sit quite square with the walls. Good carpentry can pull a kitchen back into order without a full rebuild.
Staircases in these houses might lead up to bedrooms or out to a roof terrace. We fit new treads, renew handrails and balustrades, and repair loose or noisy steps. We can also add storage to the dead space beneath a stair.
For living rooms and studies, built-in shelving and cabinetry provides a settled, finished look, and can be designed to take a television, a desk or a drinks cabinet.
Gardens and pools
Pools are common in Alfaz del Pi and Albir villas, and the area around them is where timber is used most. Decking should be laid so water drains away and the boards stay comfortable underfoot in strong sun. A pergola or covered seating area next to the pool lets the family stay outside through the hottest hours.
We build privacy screens, gates and fences to match, as well as storage for pool equipment and cushions. The detail is in the fixings and finishing: wet, chlorinated and sun-baked surfaces are harder on timber than a dry garden.
We are straightforward about upkeep. Outdoor wood needs periodic cleaning and re-coating, and we show you what to expect so that it continues to look good.
How it works
We start with a visit and a conversation about how you use the property. After measuring, we put together a written quotation with the scope, materials and finish clearly stated. For owners based abroad, we can work from photographs and arrange access through someone you trust.
Once the job is agreed we schedule it around your use of the house or the rental calendar where possible. We tidy as we go, check the finished work with you, and stand behind it with a guarantee whose scope is set out in the quotation.
Questions
Yes. We cover both, along with the surrounding hillside areas, for apartments, townhouses and villas.
Drainage, grip underfoot, heat in strong sun and the effect of pool water on the timber and fixings. We cover these during the visit and explain what maintenance to expect.
