Carpentry Services Benidorm

Benidorm is a town of apartments, and carpentry here is mostly about making limited space work harder: fitted wardrobes, well-hung doors and storage built to the room.

The skyline of Benidorm is made up of apartment blocks, from older low-rise buildings in the old town to the tall towers that line the seafront. Most of the homes we work on here are flats, and many are holiday homes or retirement properties used for part of the year. That shapes the kind of carpentry people ask for.

Rooms in an apartment tend to be compact, and the original fittings are often basic. Bedrooms may have a shallow built-in wardrobe or none at all, internal doors may be lightweight and worn, and kitchens may have little useful storage. A carpenter who can work to the millimetre makes a real difference to how comfortable a small flat feels.

Dragon Reforms has worked across the north Costa Blanca since 1999, and Benidorm apartments are a familiar part of that. We take on single jobs, such as a new set of doors, as well as full interior refits where carpentry is one part of a larger renovation. The quotation is free and the work is guaranteed.

Apartment bedrooms

Fitted Wardrobes for Benidorm Apartments

In a flat, the wardrobe is often the biggest single piece of furniture in the bedroom, and a freestanding one wastes space around and above it. A fitted wardrobe runs from wall to wall and floor to ceiling, which means the same footprint holds far more. Sliding doors are usually the best choice in narrow rooms, since they need no clearance to open.

We plan the interior with you before any building starts. If you live there all year, you may want long hanging space, drawers and shelves for everyday clothes. If the flat is a holiday let or a second home, you might prefer deep shelves for bedding and spaces for suitcases. The same room can be laid out very differently depending on how it is used.

Concrete and block walls in apartment buildings are rarely perfectly straight, so we scribe the units to fit rather than assuming square corners. This gives a neat finish at the edges and avoids the gaps that make a cheap unit look temporary.

Doors and fittings

Interior Doors in Older and Newer Blocks

Doors in apartment blocks take a lot of use. Holiday guests, tenants and seasonal owners all open and close them often, and hollow doors dent and warp over time. Replacing a set of interior doors is one of the quickest ways to lift a flat, and it can be done in a day or two for a typical apartment.

Older apartments in and around the old town sometimes have frames that have shifted slightly, which is why we measure each opening rather than ordering a standard set. We refit hinges, locks and handles at the same time so everything works together.

Entrance doors in a block are a slightly different matter, because the community may have rules on their appearance. Check with your administrator before changing the outside face of a front door. We are happy to discuss what is likely to be acceptable.

Kitchens and balconies

Kitchen Units, Shelving and Balcony Woodwork

Small kitchens benefit from carefully planned carpentry. Extra shelving above a worktop, a pull-out larder, a slim unit in a gap by the fridge or a table that folds away can all add function without adding clutter. We can also renew worn cabinet doors, plinths and worktop supports when the carpentry is tired but the layout is sound.

Many Benidorm flats have a balcony or terrace that is used for much of the year. Timber decking tiles, privacy screens and built-in seating can make these small spaces more usable. Because balconies face strong sun and sometimes salt air, we choose finishes accordingly and are straightforward about the upkeep they will need.

Any change to the exterior of a balcony should be checked against community rules first, as the look of the building is usually shared.

How it works

How a Carpentry Job in Benidorm Works

We start with a visit to the apartment to look at the room, measure and listen to what you want. If you are not in Benidorm, photographs and measurements can be a starting point, and we can arrange access through a key holder. We then send a written quotation that sets out the scope of the work, the materials and the finish.

Apartments mean shared corridors, lifts and neighbours, so we plan deliveries and noisy work for sensible hours and protect common areas. When the job is finished, we clear up and check everything with you or with your representative. The work is guaranteed, with the scope set out in the quotation.

Questions

Carpentry Services Benidorm — Common Questions

Can you fit wardrobes in a small Benidorm apartment bedroom?

Yes, and small rooms are where fitted wardrobes help most. Making full use of the height and width of the room usually gives much more storage than a freestanding unit. We agree the layout and door style with you before building.

Do I need permission from my community for carpentry work?

Interior work normally does not, but anything that changes the outside appearance of the building, such as a balcony screen or an entrance door, may be covered by community rules. It is sensible to check with your administrator before you order.

Can you work on my Benidorm flat while I am away?

Yes. Many owners are abroad for much of the year. We can agree the work by email and photos, collect keys from a trusted contact and send updates as the job progresses.

Is a quotation for carpentry in Benidorm free?

Yes, the quotation is free. We visit, measure and give you a written quotation with the scope of work clearly described.
