Carpentry Services La Nucía

La Nucía’s villas and urbanisation homes are family-sized and lived in, which makes for larger carpentry projects: whole-house doors, kitchens, stairs and terraces.

La Nucía sits inland on the hillside, a little back from the coast, and much of its housing is made up of villas and townhouses in urbanisations. These are usually roomier than coastal apartments, with several bedrooms, a garage or utility area, internal stairs and large terraces or gardens.

That scale changes the work. Instead of one wardrobe, a household may want storage in every bedroom. Instead of a single door, they may want the whole house done. And outdoor space is usually generous enough to take a substantial pergola, a built-in barbecue area or a full deck.

Dragon Reforms has worked across the north Costa Blanca since 1999. In La Nucía we are often asked to take on carpentry as part of a wider renovation of a house that has been owned for some years and is due a refresh. We plan jobs in a sensible order so rooms are not left unusable for longer than needed.

Kitchens and Storage for Larger Homes

The kitchen is often the first room owners of a La Nucía villa decide to change, since it sees the most use and tends to date fastest. Carpentry in a kitchen is more than the cabinets. It includes the panels and fillers that hide gaps, the plinths, the supports for heavy worktops and the way doors and drawers line up.

We can build to a design you bring, adapt units you already have or make bespoke cabinetry from scratch. For households that cook a lot, we often suggest practical features such as deeper drawers for pans, a pull-out bin and an easily reached spice shelf.

Beyond the kitchen, villas have plenty of places where built-in storage earns its keep: bedrooms, a hallway, a laundry room, the garage. Making these consistent in style gives the house a coherent finish.

Doors and stairs

Replacing Doors and Renewing Staircases

A house that has had the same doors for twenty years often shows it. Replacing them all in one go gives a more consistent result than changing one at a time, and it is straightforward to plan alongside painting or flooring work. We measure each opening separately because frames shift over the years.

Many villas here have an internal staircase to an upper floor or a roof terrace, and an external one from the garden. We repair or replace treads, renew handrails and balustrades and, for outdoor flights, look carefully at how the surface will cope with rain and sun.

If a stair feels loose or a rail moves when you lean on it, that is worth dealing with before the next family visit. We can usually tell quickly what is needed during a site visit.

Garden and terrace

Pergolas and Outdoor Living on Larger Plots

Plots in La Nucía often allow generous outdoor structures. A large pergola over a dining terrace, a covered area beside a pool, or a garden room with a timber frame are all realistic projects. The hillside setting can mean sloping ground and wind, so the way a structure is footed and braced matters.

Because the town is inland, the air is a little less salty than directly on the shore, but the sun is just as strong. Exterior timber still needs a sound finish that is kept up. We explain how often that is likely to be needed and what you can do yourself.

We also build decking, fencing, gates and screens, and can match them to the pergola so the garden feels designed rather than assembled piece by piece.

How it works

How a Carpentry Job in La Nucía Works

For a larger house it helps to walk through the whole property once, so that we can see what you want to do now and what you might do later. We measure, discuss materials and sequence, and send a written quotation with the scope clearly described. If you want to phase the work, we can price it in stages.

On bigger projects we agree which rooms will be affected and when, keep dust and mess contained, and coordinate with other trades. The finished work is checked with you and is covered by our guarantee, with the scope set out in the quotation.

Questions

Carpentry Services La Nucía — Common Questions

Can you replace all the doors in my La Nucía villa?

Yes. We measure each opening, supply and hang the doors, and fit the ironmongery. Doing the whole house at once usually gives a more consistent result and is easier to coordinate with decorating.

Do you build kitchens or only the carpentry?

We carry out kitchen carpentry, including cabinets, panels, shelving and worktop supports. If you need plumbing, electrical or tiling as part of the same renovation, we can coordinate those too.

Will a pergola cope with wind on a hillside plot?

It can, if it is designed for it. We look at the exposure of the site, the footings and the connections before settling on a design, so the structure is secure.

Is the quotation for La Nucía carpentry free?

Yes, the quotation is free. We visit, measure up and provide a written quotation with the scope set out. The work is guaranteed.
