People come here for a few weeks and then leave the place locked up. Wardrobes in these homes have to look after themselves in between, and then be ready for the next arrival.
With the Sierra Helada rising behind and the promenade running along the shore, Albir has a high share of holiday homes and second homes. Apartments sit near the sea, and villas climb the hillsides. Many stand empty for stretches, then fill with relatives, friends or paying guests.
That pattern suggests a particular approach to storage. Wardrobes need space for what the owners leave behind and clear room for visitors. They need good airflow for the empty weeks, and surfaces that clean easily between lets. Appearance counts too, since listings are judged by photographs.
We have been renovating homes along this coast since 1999. Surveying, making and fitting are carried out by our own carpenters, with owners abroad kept informed through photographs, and completed work carries a guarantee, described in the quotation, which costs nothing to request.
Lettings
For a flat that is let, the wardrobe is part of the listing. Clean lines, light finishes and a tidy interior help photographs, while sturdy construction keeps the unit looking good after many arrivals. We discuss which finishes show marks least.
Guests want simple things: enough hangers, a shelf or two, a drawer for small items and a safe place for a suitcase. A cluttered, over-complicated interior does not help them. We design a clear arrangement and suggest labels or hooks that make it intuitive.
Between lets, turnaround time is short. Materials that wipe clean, doors that do not mark and handles that can be replaced cheaply keep maintenance light. If you manage the flat from abroad, we can arrange a fit while the apartment is between bookings.
Second homes
Many owners leave clothing, beach gear and bedding in the home. A section of the wardrobe with solid doors or a lock keeps these separate from guest space. It also helps cleaners and guests understand what is theirs to use.
A deep drawer or two can hold folded items and swimwear, with a tall section for coats that rarely see the weather. A shelf for bags and a hook for sun hats may sound small, but it is the detail that makes a home near the beach feel considered.
Tell us which items you leave behind and which you take with you each trip. We can then size the sections accordingly and avoid building more capacity than you will ever use, which keeps the quotation sensible and the bedroom uncluttered.
Hillside
Higher up, villas offer larger bedrooms, terraces and more complicated floor plans, often over several levels. A master suite can take a walk-in dressing room, and guest suites can have matching units that make the whole house feel organised and guest-ready.
Sun and heat are real factors. We choose finishes that cope with strong light and suggest placing large mirrored panels where they will not focus reflected glare. Air conditioning in bedrooms helps keep timber stable, and we plan the unit around the indoor units.
Access can be steep, with long drives and steps. We look at the access route during the survey and plan the unit in sections that are easy to carry, so the day itself runs smoothly and the finish is not damaged on the way in.
How it works
We visit the property and measure the walls, but we also ask about use: how many weeks a year it is occupied, whether it is let and what stays in the wardrobe between visits. The answers shape the interior and the finish.
The free written quotation sets out the design in full, room by room. We then make the units and fit them on a date that works around bookings, sending photos so you can confirm everything from wherever you happen to be, before the next guests arrive.

Yes. We plan the route into the house, build the unit in sections where needed and finish it on site. A dressing area can be added where the bedroom is large enough to allow it.
